The practicum integrates theory and practice in the work environment.
You will use knowledge and skills developed in prerequisite course modules to observe and record the behavior of children, to interact with children and adults in a supportive and positive manner, and to guide children’s behavior using positive guidance strategies.
In order to apply to take your PRAC 119 you will need to have completed the following modules: HUMD 102, ECE 100, ECE 106, ECE 107, ECE 108, ECE 109, ECE 142, PD 100, & PRAC104. You need to apply to the Early Childhood Education Practicum program by completing an online application form, plus send your SaskPolytech Trancript to show proof of completion of Level 1 and Level 2 of theory course modules, this can be found on your MySaskPolytech Account, by August 15, 2022 to:
