Scholarship and Awards Deadline Approaching

Application Deadline - January 20th, 2023
Thanks to the generous financial support of our donors, Cumberland College is pleased to offer our students the opportunity to apply for General Awards. These awards are based on a wide variety of criteria allowing us to consider factors beyond just academic standing. We strongly encourage ALL our Technical and University students to apply! In addition to marks, some examples of criteria include community service, financial need and classoom leadership. We have awards for full time, part time and mature students as well so don't delay - the application window is open from December 1 to January 20 of each academic year. Recipients are selected by a committee and successful applicants will be notified mid-February.
The annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony will be held at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort on Friday, March 17th @ 2:00 pm. Please save the date and join us as we celebrate the success of Cumberland College students and the generosity of our community partners.
Application Criteria:
- All students enrolled in a Technical or University program at Cumberland College are eligible to apply
- General Awards are based on a variety of criteria. Each application will be reviewed for best fit in all categories, including
- Community Service
- Financial Need
- Mature Students
- Full time Students
- Part-time Students
- Academics
- Donor specific criteria
- Some of our Technical programs even have Instructor Nominated awards! (no application required)
- Entrance Scholarship Recipients: if your received an Entrance Scholarship last May, you are still eligible to apply for General Awards!
Additional Information:
- Cumberland College Scholarships and Awards are supported by the financial donations of local businesses, service clubs, individuals and like minded Foundations.
- Matching dollars provided through the Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship program are applied to the majority of our scholarships and awards
- Only successful applicants will be notified
- Successful applicants may be asked to provide a photo and a brief summary of their educational goals or a short biography to submit to the sponsor of their scholarship/award
