Cumberland College Announces Winners of 2023 Entrance Scholarships Valued at $22,000

[Melfort, Saskatchewan, June 7, 2023] - Cumberland College is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023 Entrance Scholarships, presented to outstanding high school and Adult Basic Education (ABE) graduates who have all achieved an exceptional average of over eighty five percent. These deserving students are enrolling in full-time university or technical programs at Cumberland College for the 2022-23 academic year. The total value of the scholarships awarded is $22,000, with each individual scholarship valued at $2,000.
The Cumberland College Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Entrance Scholarships are awarded to students based on their excellent academic performance. We congratulate the individuals from the following schools for their outstanding accomplishments:

- Melfort and Unit Comprehensive Collegiate: Logan Englot (University)
The Alex Prytula Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity University Entrance Scholarship, specifically designed for high school or ABE graduates of Aboriginal ancestry enrolling in full-time university studies for the first time at Cumberland College, is also valued at $2,000. We are proud to announce the following recipient:

Additionally, we would like to take this opportunity to announce an exciting development for our institution. Cumberland College and Parkland College will be merging into a new institution, Suncrest College, effective July 1, 2023. As part of this transition, the scholarships awarded to the aforementioned students will be seamlessly transferred to Suncrest College, ensuring that the financial support they have earned will be applied to their respective academic pursuits.
