General Awards

Cumberland College is pleased to open applications for our 2021-22 General Awards. These awards are made possible by the generous financial contributions of our donors and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education matching funds program.
Who is eligible to Apply for Cumberland College General Awards?
University students
- must be enrolled in full-time studies at Cumberland College (18 c.u. per year or 12 c.u. per year for students with a permanent disability)
Technical students
- must be full-time as defined by their program area (usually 60% of full load or 40% for students with a permanent disability).
- Part time students who meet the criteria for awards designated specifically for part time students.
How do I apply?
Before you start the online application, make sure you have the following documentation:
- Have a Cumberland College log-in account
- Your Social Insurance Number
- A copy of your most recent marks
- Technical students: enter your semester 1 final marks
- University students: enter your semester 1 final marks from PAWS or UR self service
- If you are applying for awards based on financial need, you will need your financial information such as tuition, books, fees, monthly living expenses such as rent, transportation, daycare etc… as well as your monthly income from employment, sponsorship or other sources This may also include your spouse’s/parent’s financial information depending on your situation.
- If you are applying for awards based on your participation in the community or at school, you will need a list of your community service/volunteer work. You will need to supply the name of the organization, the name of a reference for each activity and his/her phone number for verification purposes.
- A photo of yourself that can be uploaded with your application. Photos must be of only you, good quality and greater than 500 kb. If you receive an award, your photo will be used for the PowerPoint presentation at the Awards Ceremony.
The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to limit the number of scholarships awarded per student. Students chosen for awards will be notified by letter.
