Awards Programs
Cumberland College Scholarship and Awards Program
Cumberland College is proud to offer a generous scholarship and awards program. Students pursuing post-secondary training at Cumberland College are eligible to apply for two categories of awards:
Entrance Scholarships
- allocated each spring to students planning to begin full time Technical, Trades or Universtity programs at Cumberland College in the following fall/winter intake
- students require a minimum average of 75% to apply
- the online application process opens March 1 and closes April 30 of each year
- up to twenty $2000 entrance scholarships are available
- as well, an additional five $2000 entrance scholarships, the Alex Prytula University Entrance Scholarships, are designated exclusively for students of Indigenous ancestry are awarded annually to students choosing to attend their first year of University studies at Cumberland College. Students apply via the same online application however the deadline for these specific awards is March 24.
General Awards
- students actively attending post-secondary programs at Cumberland College are eligible to apply for general awards
- criteria for these awards vary widely and include categories such as academic acheivement, financial need and community involvement. There are also awards available for part time and mature students
- the online application process opens December 1 and closes Jan 31 of each academic year
- all students attending post-secondary training at Cumberland College are invited to apply
