Pathways to Employment in Early Childhood Education


Program Start: 2 October 2017
Location: Tisdale
Credit Granting Institution: Sask Polytech
Length: 6 months

Overview:

Are you seeking employment in Early Childhood Education?  We have just the right program for you!

In this 6 month program, you will receive employment and academic readiness training, as well as the three Saskatchewan Polytechnic courses required by Saskatchewan Ministry of Education in order to work as a child daycare worker. In the last phase of the program, you will gain valuable work experience in a Licensed Daycare.

Dates: October 2, 2017 - March 16, 2018 

  • Phase One: Employment & Academic Readiness (Oct 2-Dec 22)
  • Phase Two: ECE Level 1 (Jan. 8 - Mar. 2)                                                                                                        
  • Phase Three:  Work Placement in a Licensed Daycare (Mar. 5- 16)

Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Requirements:

Admission Requirements: 

  • Grade 10 or less
  • Adults 18 years and older

Student Funding: Accepted students may apply for the Provincial Training Allowance (PTA)
