Edwards School of Business offers a robust Bachelor of Commerce program in addition to a variety of graduate level programs. As a new Bachelor of Commerce student, you will be exposed to a diverse range of courses taught by some of the world’s top researchers that allow you to gain critical and creative thinking skills demanded by employers around the world.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program. The first two years of the program are dedicated to providing you with a wide base of knowledge; all students take an introductory course in each of the major specializations before selecting a major in the middle of year two. The school prepares you for the business world by expanding your overall knowledge of business and helping you develop enhanced strategic management, presentation and teamwork skills. In years three and four of the program, you focus your studies in Aboriginal Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Operations Management or Marketing, while continuing to develop the business expertise that employers demand.

he Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a highly competitive program, while 50% is a passing grade, students are expected to maintain an average over 60% in university courses while enrolled at the Edward School of Business. For admission to the University of Saskatchewan - Edwards School of Business:

  • Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30
  • Grade 12 with a minimum average of 75% in the following five subjects:
    • One English
    • One math (Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30)
    • Three other approved subjects:
      • Maximum of two natural sciences
      • Maximum of two social sciences or humanities
      • Maximum of one fine or performing arts
  • English proficiency


To become a student at Cumberland College you must first apply to the University of Saskatchewan. The Edwards School of Business application deadline is June 1, 2020.

Application Process:

  • Apply online to the Edwards School of Business.
  • Pay a one-time non-refundable $90 application fee.
  • Provide supporting documents, like official high school transcripts. Transcripts must be forwarded directly from the Ministry of Education or other educational institutions.
  • Complete the Cumberland College Application Form (green apply button at the top of this page) to indicate interest in the program and to receive program updates.

You can complete a full first year (30 credit units) at Cumberland College.  To complete your degree you must move to the University of Saskatchewan. Please see a College Advisor for academic advising to choose the correct courses for you.
