Tourism & Customer Service
Looking to acquire or upgrade your skills in customer service, hospitality, or tourism? Cumberland College offers numerous full and half-day courses from the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council (STEC). Some of our offerings include:
- Service First (formerly WorldHost Fundamentals) - provides frontline tourism employees and volunteers with an opportunity to learn about tourism and the value of providing a exceptional customer service experience.
- Service Best - create memorable customer experiences, identify and respond to customer needs and turn dissatisfied customers into loyal fans.
- Selling is Service (half-day) - in just three hours, practice techniques that increase customer satisfaction and learn how to handle objections professionally. Service Best is a recommended prerequisite.
- Understanding Customers (half-day) - Your next step in service recovery. Builds on the L.E.A.R.N. Service Recovery Cycle learned in Service Best.
- Serve it Right Saskatchewan (SIRS) - the official provincial responsible service of alcohol program.
- CannaSell SK - the official provincial training program for responsible cannabis sales.
Employers may also be able to access the Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant for financial assistance to train their employees.
