Agriculture

Agriculture plays an important role in our local economy, and Cumberland College is pleased to assist by providing agricultural based programming.  The programs offered are intended to help producers enhance their operations and keep current on the latest industry trends. 

Some courses we have offered include:

Courses may be eligible for Agricultural Skills and Knowledge (ASK) funding, which offers up to 50% reimbursement.  Please visit this link for details.
 



As of 2020, we also offer the Certified Crop Advisor Exam Prep course in partnership with Parkland College.  For more information about the certification and exams, please visit prairiecca.ca.  We are offering a Fall session starting October 27, 2021.  Keep watching this page for registration details.

NOTE:  Registration deadline is 1 week prior to course start date.  Minimum enrollment is required to run all Continuing Education classes.  Full payment or sponsorship is required to secure your spot in the class.

ORIGINAL RECEIPT MUST BE RETURNED BEFORE REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.

 

PLEASE NOTE: These courses are not eligible for a T2202A tax slip.  Courses must be a minimum of 10 hours classroom study per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks to qualify.

Courses available:

Drone Pilot Certification - Basic Operations

This 2-day course prepares you for Transport Canada's Basic Operations drone Pilot Certificate.  The online exam is included and takes place on Day 2, but is optional for those taking the course for personal interest.  The price includes your own drone!
